01/09/2022. White Paper on “Criticality and Recycling of Lithium-Ion Batteries” published.

Dr. Athan Fox, CEO of Ever Resource, co-authored a White Paper titled “Criticality and Recycling of Lithium-Ion Batteries – Putting the Debate on a Broader Footing”.

This paper, created in collaboration with colleagues from High Performance Battery Technology GmbH and Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, ranks in the top 2% for the highest Research Interest Score on ResearchGate for papers published in 2022.

The mass production of batteries, which is currently gaining momentum, is expected to make a significant contribution to a sustainable future energy supply. At the same time, it raises questions concerning the environmental impact of batteries over their entire life cycle as well as the resources required.

The public and political debate on the criticality and recycling of lithium-ion batteries has highlighted some facets of the issue, but left out others – pitfalls as well as undiscovered opportunities. With this white paper, we aim to put the debate on a broader footing.
