We revolutionise the waste management and recycling industry for both consumers and suppliers
through innovative technologies. In partnership with producers, we serve the advancement
of the marketplace by increasing efficiency and performance while reducing environmental impact.
Our aim is to revolutionise recycling. Our vision is a web of industries where one stream’s waste
is another stream’s in-feed: bridging linear and wasteful processes to create a circular,
pollution-free, zero-waste future. Our projects include the recycling of lead-acid, lithium-ion and
alkaline batteries; end-of-life tyres and plastic; municipal waste; and more.
We are based in the UK at Cambridge and Willenhall. At our processing site in Willehnhall, we
collect and recycle end-of-life products. At our research laboratory in Cambridge, we develop next-
generation technologies for energy storage, recycling and the circular economy.
Our flagship technology is a green process for the recycling of lead battery paste. We reduce the
carbon footprint by 85%; eliminate noxious gases (including sulphur dioxide) at no added cost; slash
energy use by at least 4,000 MWh per 10,000 tonnes of spent batteries processed; and reduce waste
by at least 90%. Our technology saves money and improves the energy and power densities, cycling
and charge acceptance of lead batteries (due to the nanostructured nature of our leady oxides).
